Birding at Cape May, New Jersey
I have to keep reminding myself that this isn’t a competition. You don’t need to be a par golfer to enjoy golf. You don’t need to be able to calculate pot odds in your head to enjoy Texas Hold’em. You don’t have to be an expert film critic to watch a movie. And – Read more »
How to start a Movement and Laura Obenski
by Bill Gadbow No one is more annoying than the recently converted. That would be me. Before starting this online venue, I was pretty ambivalent about the native vs. non-native plant issue. We needed a video for the first episode of the rebuilt website and I’m a “still photos” guy. I got out my camera manual for instructions and then played around in the backyard. The handheld attempt was so shaky that Chris got seasick viewing it. So, I reshot it using a tripod. Please send us your nature videos to post here. Also I will keep practicing and probably will improve.
A Dog Story
I’m not sure why I am in such a hurry to write all this stuff down. After all, these memories have sat inside my brain for decades. A few weeks or months more should not matter much. It might be because I’ve finally realized that every story is both completely true and completely false. Even Read more »
Dragonflies
The beauty of the single drops that hit The pond and cause a wave of life to form And make each lily shiver just a bit Is lost inside the power of a storm. The light that sparkles through two pair of wings And shimmers green and blue on backs and heads Becomes a blur Read more »
